I could be wrong, but some older crates were also giving 1* heroes. If this is the case, then this bug has been here for a long time.
I can’t report older crates because I can’t remember them but I do remember getting 1* heroes for 300 gold I think?
Support corrected my Crate deficiencies within 24 hours - thanks guys
