December 2017 Update Notes

New Heroes

Hivemind Hivemind

A drone controller. Hivemind utilizes an army of autonomous drones that provide the team with a mix of healing and defensive abilities. His Defender Drones can taunt the enemy team and Leech Drones can sap enemy health and heal allied Heroes. Hivemind will be available as a PVP Reward. Look for more information soon!

Mauler Mauler

A grizzled bodyguard. Powerful abilities deal massive damage and disorientate his attackers, reducing their weapon accuracy and making retaliation more difficult. Mauler is a disruptive supporting attacker; he can incapacitate foes and deal consistent damage to any enemy. Mauler will be available as a Co-op Assault on City Hall Reward. Gauntlet

Major Changes

The December update brings big changes to the Gauntlet.

  • A single Hero may only participate in one sector. This means that if you use Ryker in Alpha Sector, you may not use him again in Bravo Sector.
  • Gauntlet difficulty has been adjusted. Early battles should be slightly tougher, later battles should be easier.
  • Buck rewards will be shown before you start a Gauntlet Battle, and will be rewarded when you are victorious.
  • You can now see all enemies you will face in a particular Sector. This will help you plan which Heroes would be best for the Sector.

New Gauntlet Maps

The December update brings you two new Gauntlet maps. Battle through the Stock Exchange in Sectors 2 and 3 to make your way to the Aquarium in Sectors 4 and 5.

Hero Screen

We’re super excited about the changes we’ve made to the Hero Selection and Upgrade Screens! These changes have been a long time coming and add a lot of information to help you pick the right Heroes to upgrade!

Upgrade Screen

We have added a Recommendations pull-down menu which will give you helpful tips on what you can do to upgrade this Hero. It does it’s best to give you the most economical advice!

  • In order to help you decide which upgrade to pursue we now show you a preview of how much a particular upgrade will influence that Hero’s power.
  • We’ve gotten rid of that Skills tab and put all the information on one screen. It will be easier to see all your Hero’s details at a glance.
  • The Next and Previous Hero buttons now show a preview of which Hero you will change to.

Selection Screen

You can now see Heroes that have a Bonus applied to them from an Event; this will help you find the Heroes you want to upgrade to an event easier.

  • We’ve changed the Hero cards quite a bit. You will now be able to see their upgrade progress.

General

  • If you’re like us you were likely exhausting yourself trying to get those Ammo Magazines. To make it less tiring we’ve increased drop rates of several gear pieces across all Districts.
  • We’ve Changed Game Mode unlock points to be Campaign progression based. Below you can find a chart that details the new unlock points.
    • PvP unlocks after completing District 1, Mission 10
    • Hard Mode unlocks after completing District 2, Mission 5
    • Gauntlet unlocks after completing District 2, Mission 10
    • Events unlocks after completing District 3, Mission 5
    • Daily Raids unlocks after completing District 3, Mission 10
    • Co-op Raids unlocks after completing District 4, Mission 5
  • You should no longer be able to open a Private Chat with a user you have blocked.
  • You should start to see more useful items on the Black Market
  • Added Achievements for Co-op Raids

Hard Mode

We have two exciting changes to Hard Mode!

  • First, we’ve rearranged Hero Fragment locations. Go check out the new locations and Evolve those Heroes.
  • Not feeling rewarded for completing these tricky missions? Well now getting 3 Stars on a Hard Mode missions for the first time now awards Gold! If you’ve already gotten 3 Stars on a mission fret not, simply achieve 3 Stars again and you’ll get your reward.

Raids

Daily Raids

  • We’ve limited the Heroes you can bring into a Daily Raid. The limitation is purely Element based.
  • We’ve also made difficulty changes to take into account that some players may not have enough of Heroes of a particular element to field a full team of 5.
  • Some helpful hints have been added on the Daily Raids. It should now be more clear which element of Heroes will be required.
  • Daily Raids have had their XP Item payouts adjusted.

Co-op Raids

  • Due to the new unlock point for Co-op Raids, we have removed the lower difficulties for Gorgon Wakes Co-op Raid. City Hall remains unchanged

PvP

The Matchmaker now remembers your previous matchups so you should not match against the same player multiple times in a row.

Bounty Event

Previously, when a Hero recovered Hero Stamina through the Timer it would receive only one Hero Stamina. They will now recover all of their Stamina! This will help you hunt bigger and badder Bounties!

  • Adjusted the size of some text in the Bounty Event menus. You shouldn’t need to strain your eyes anymore.
  • New Bounty Stamina icon.
  • You can now manually summon a Bounty if you’ve defeated all the ones you’ve discovered.
  • You can now rotate Bounties to inspect them.

  • Improved Starting Damage & Elemental Damage Stats.

Baron Baron

  • Adjustments to Starting Stats and Growth
  • Improved Offense Modifiers.
  • Improved Starting Damage, Elemental Damage & Health Stats.

Fortress Fortress

  • Now available in Hard Mode 4-1, 4-7, and 5-3

Francis Francoise

  • Adjustments to Starting Stats and Growth
  • Improved Elemental Offense Modifiers.
  • Improved Starting Damage & Elemental Damage Stats.

Halloway Halloway

  • Now available in Hard Mode 5-7, 6-1, and 6-9

Maven Maven

  • Adjustments to Starting Stats and Growth
  • Reduced Offense & Elemental Offense Modifiers.
  • Improved Starting Health & Armor, Reduced Damage & Elemental Damage Stats.

Odachi Odachi

  • Adjustments to Starting Stats and Growth
  • Improved Defense, Reduced Offense & Elemental Defense Modifiers.
  • Improved Starting Damage & Elemental Damage Stats.

Vanguard Vanguard

  • Adjustments to Starting Stats
  • Improved Starting Armor, Health & Elemental Armor Stats.
  • Now available in Hard Mode 4-9, 5-5, and 5-10

What is the change here:

But looking forward to seem some of that stuf, especially the interface changes.

This is last years patch notes. Gauntlet worked differently than it does today.

Haha, how come they show up on top for me? Was not trying to necro my apologies.

Why screw with maven or odachi. They are not OP by any means and you reduce their damage on all fronts. Makes no sense.
